This scarf is 17” wide x 68” long. Crepe de chine. The artwork is a brighter version part of my large painting “Green Hafiz.”

Two Orange

This scarf is in silk crepe de Chine, measuring 17 x 64”. It is bold, high-contrast, and softly geometric. Neutrals with touches of bright orange and marine blue.

Mill Moon Scarf

Crepe de Chine. 17 x 64”. Rich, warm tones of brown, sienna, and blues in an abstract arrangement of structure and moon circle. Geometric and soft with a strong sense of brush stroke.

Gavrinis

Crepe de Chine. 17 x 84” in tones of blues, reds, and ochres. The design is a based on my painting of the Neolithic stone carvings at Gavrinis, Brittany.

Crepe de Chine. 12 x 64” with tones of teal, warm rust, ivory, blue and black. The design is a landscape in feeling, with stenciled numbers and calligraphic brush action embodied in the original painting.

Green Heron Hunting Scarf

Green Heron Hunting is the title of this 36" silk square.

The fabric is 100% silk Crepe de Chine, the machine-rolled hem of high quality, and the printing is excellent. The image is vivid on the front, and a bit less vibrant on the reverse of the cloth due to the natural process.

The detail of the linework is something to enjoy up close.

The central panel is an exact reproduction of a linocut I made in 2019 as a featured artist for San Francisco Center for the Book annual "RoadWorks" event. The linocut is inked, the fine paper placed on top, and then a vintage Buffalo Springfield steamroller is driven over it to make the print under 3 tons of pressure. I decided to create a scarf from the print, and this is the result. Extending a weave of branches and adding bright jewel colors created the border motif.

Protecting wildlife is at the heart of this artwork. "Butorides Virescens" is the species name of the green heron, whose hunting abilities are remarkable. This would be a great gift for birders and naturalists.
